I received an email from the ladies of Punk Rock Bride a couple of months ago and I definitely think that this company is one to watch. The fact that the shop is in my home town of Washington, DC makes me so excited because I love that in the past few years, DC has been experiencing a new
“cool factor” in fashion and pop-culture. In 2001-2002, my office was in downtown DC and believe me there was a huge lack of general style at the time…can you say dowdy?
Although the political background of the city tends to give it a rather conservative undertone, I’m always happy to see some hip fashionistas making their mark.

“Punk Rock Bride was created for the bride who is looking for an original, non-traditional wedding dress. While our dresses maintain simple silhouettes, they find their uniqueness in the mixing of non-traditional fabrics and attention to detail.
The Punk Rock Bride collection offers brides the opportunity to express their personal style on their wedding day. The dresses range from sweet to edgy, but all retain a level of comfort and wear-ability. Punk Rock Bride offers a more fashion-forward option for the bride looking for a fresh, urban alternative to the traditional wedding dress.”

I grew up with Stephanie, the designer behind Punk Rock Bride! I’m so glad her collection is getting more attention.

Oh how fun to get married in a tank top and skirt – but still get that little bridal thrill.

What a stunning collection! It’s always pleasing to see alternative designers getting attention. I love how the photographer has captured the simplicity and edginess of these gowns. My favourite is that third shot you’ve put up – that dress/beanie combination should NOT work, and yet…it does. Thanks for the info!
