Amy Michelson 'Laurel' Gown
We know, Fashionist Fridays on a Monday?? Has The Unbride gone mad? Our fabulous fashionista editor extraordinaire, Bethany did not want our SoCal UnBrides to miss this wonderful opportunity. So without further ado…
I happened across this outrageously glamorous gown in of all places – my ‘In’ box. I get eight skillion sample sale/trunk show/discount code/buy our crap e mails a day, many of which I often disregard – not so with the ‘Laurel’ gown. Not only did it immediately grab my attention, it also prompted me to go directly to Amy Michelson’s web page for more, and I was not disappointed. (However with all due respect, the site itself does nothing to enhance the showstopping beauty of these gowns.) Although there were several styles that I didn’t care for, others were breathtaking in a way that’s reminiscent of Hollywood’s golden era of sophistication, elegance, and sex appeal. I tried to narrow it down to just a few, but be sure not to miss ‘Bling,‘ ‘Swept Away,’ ‘Open Heart,‘ ‘Satin Doll,‘ and ‘Faith.‘ They remind me of those amazing ensembles that Kim Basinger wore in ‘L.A. Confidential.’ (Incidentally, if you can’t remember? Re-rent it this second, since you’ve probably forgotten how great it is.)
Long story short, you’re in luck; at least those of you who reside in SoCal are. The Montclair Collection in Santa Monica, is hosting an Amy Michelson trunk show on June 5th, 6th, and 7th. Here’s your opportunity to not only meet the designer, but receive fabulous discounts for both you and your wedding party. your right, the site does nothing for these gowns, they are so beautiful and so unique, you have to SEE them and the detail, i love them and can’t wait to get mine SOOOOON!!!
