Loving the blog! Beautiful stylish ideas that we haven’t seen a billion times before!

I run a budget blog back in Blighty – thechiefbridesmaid.co.uk – all about getting Brides to think differently to get the wedding of their dreams for less cash.

Hi,

I’m addicted to your blog. I go on when work is slow, when I feel like procrastinating,
or to check if you’ve posted something new to inspire me since I’m planning my wedding. Sure, it’s crazy but I’m totally addicted.

As a bride-to-be on a tight budget, I recently discovered an online bridal jewelry store called GlamForLess.com. Though their website is plain and simple, I found some great deals on jewelry sets for me and my bridesmaids.

I think other brides on a tight budget may also find GlamForLess.com to be helpful.

I am a bride to be and an “Unbride”. By the number of bridal blogs and websites out there, I would think it would be safe to say that most brides to be spend a significant amount of time researching on the internet. I just found out about http://www.freerice.com/ and it seems like a great cause. Basically the reader goes through one word vocab quizzes, and for each one you get right, Free Rice will donate 20 grains of rice for the UN World Hunger program. 20 grains isn’t a lot, but after 5 minutes, they had donated 2000 grains because of my vocab skills. Every little bit helps when its starving children. Anyway, I thought I would pass this along for all the brides to be. Have it open in another window and every few minutes go through a few more words, the bride will learn some new words, sound a bit more eloquent, and someone will have a bit more to eat. Helping others in need instead of “me me me” – how very Unbride! =)

Thank you for your very kind and thoughtful comment. I just wanted to clarify a few things for you. No where in this blog do I claim to be anti-bride or anti-wedding. The Unbride is all about sharing the planning of my own non-traditional wedding with others who are interested. Since that is the purpose of this blog, I have no problem talking about myself or my wedding. If those topics don’t interest you, then best of luck to you in your search for more interesting reading.

Hi Justine,
your blog is very refreshing:) I have just recently discovered that brides-to-be are blog maniacs and have freshly joined the crowd. My blog is in Polish. but I invite you browse anyway;) During my sometimes painful preparations I found there to be such lack of quality non-peace-dove, non-2-champagne-glasses-clicking, info for brides in Polish, I decided to publish my blog in Polish; obviously reaching a smaller audiance, but perhaps the more needy one haha;)
I’m adding your blog to mine, pics are self explanatory not creating any language barriers, I’m sure they can inspire a bride or 2 in Poland:)
