Living here in Los Angeles, El Dia de los Muertos or The Day of the Dead feels like a bigger holiday than Halloween itself. It definitely makes for a more interesting inspiration board. It is not just about the skulls. Vintage mexican inspired wedding dresses, giant red roses and gorgeous red Christian Louboutin peep toe shoes, give a new meaning to “Til Death Do We Part”.

I have been sitting on this post for absolutely ages since way before the blog redesign and it just got away from me. But I’m so excited to share with you some images by the very talented Jen & Chris Stewart of a fabulous couple named Julie & Joe.
Alan Silva of Artistic Imagery designed this great poster from their engagement session with Jen.

Their gorgeous Sacramento wedding was so full of fabulous little details that I just want to eat them all up. Julie and Joe’s wedding was so vintage Hollywood and they absolutely looked the part…incredibly glamorous!

I love it when couples opt to see one another before the ceremony. Not only do you have more time for some amazing portraits but you also have the opportunity to get these priceless reactions…and believe me, it doesn’t take anything away from that walk down the aisle.
