Well I finally got my chance to hang out there on Tuesday evening for the September ISES cocktail party and networking event. What a turnout it was, everyone from the DC wedding business was there and it felt like such a wonderful reunion for me.

And after taking over the space where the Hotel Washington used to be, just next to the Willard and a block from the White House, I must say that the W did a fabulous job of bringing some fresh, modern decor to this city while still being true to the pre-war architecture and overall feeling.

Now I can’t wait to shoot a wedding there. One of my brides will be getting ready there next month so at least I’ll get to shoot in one of the guest rooms and hopefully in the lobby. Thought everyone might like to see a few pictures.

If you’re in the DC area, you should definitely at least go have a drink on the roof. That atmosphere is fantastic and it has a killer view!
